Tending Circles

What is circling?

Circling is a simple and profound practice of gathering, listening, sharing, witnessing, and journeying together. Being in circle is not about doing or fixing, but about practising care and building capacity for embodied presence, so that we can be with our emotions and experiences without avoiding them or shutting down.

We gather with an intention of connecting with and supporting each other, honouring the principles of curiosity and non-judgement. We practice leaning into vulnerability together, in a gentle, trauma-informed way.

Come as you are. You don’t have to have experience with circling to join a circle. I am here to guide and support you. I believe in showing up imperfectly. This means showing up, just as you are. Just be you. With your fear, your doubt, your worries. On your tired days, on your unfocused days, on the days where you just want to hide under the covers. There is space for it all in circle; the overwhelm, the messiness, the real and the raw. For it all to be seen, named, and witnessed, gently. And for us to be with it and hold it, together. It all belongs.

In this season of my life I feel called to slow down, to simplify, to root deeper, and to gather in circle with other wise women. And I wanted to share the call with you, in case it resonates.

It is a call to remind ourselves of all the wisdom that lives in our bodies. To tap into softness. To stand still in the chaos of the world and listen deeply to the future that is calling out to us with its knowing, before we can see it clearly. To co-create gentle space in community with other like-hearted humans. To lean into the wisdom of circle, together.

The format:

Each circle will be open to 3-5 heart-led women.

We will gather online via Zoom for 6 gatherings (2 hours, unrecorded).

Each circle will be centered around embodiment topics relating to navigating your relationship with yourself and with others.

In each circle gathering there will be space for a gentle guided embodiment practice, me sharing my thoughts on the topic/s we are circling around, and for the participants to share their experiences, challenges, and celebrations and ask for witnessing and thoughts from me and the other participants.

A circle is a confidential space, where you can show up vulnerable and lean into gentle support and witnessing.

We work in a gentle, trauma-informed way.

Optional 1:1 support:

Support in 1:1 sessions is available at a discounted rate for circle participants who want to combine the circle with 1:1 support to root deeper into their own healing and tend to personal challenges or wounds through somatic healing, alongside the circle gatherings. 1:1 support includes voice note support via the Signal app between sessions. – Upcoming Tending Circles

The Finding Your Voice circle was one of the most powerful experiences I’ve had in a very very long time. Lise and Kim together are golden. I also really appreciated Lise’s constant reminder to slow down, this was so helpful. Slowing down and letting the words come rather than ‘crafting’ them.

I thought I was listening and connected, but I found a much deeper relationship through this process. It confirmed that my voice is still with me, no matter how I may silence her or the world may try to silence her. She speaks from a different place than I have noticed before. A place that is deeper, a place of wisdom, a place of love. She holds me in a way I have not known until now.

When I first registered for a movement workshop with Lise, I wasn’t sure what to expect.  I felt open and curious, and also nervous.  I had never before tried anything similar to what Lise offers.  I struggle with social anxiety, so registering for something like that was outside of my comfort zone.

I was blown away.  Lise is such a gentle and welcoming guide, which helped put me at ease in the face of my nerves.  And then there was the movement itself, which helped me hear what my body wanted in new ways.  I was able to get out of my head a bit, which I often struggle to do.  It was a soft, loving way to connect with myself that I didn’t know I needed. I highly, highly recommend giving yourself the gift of a movement workshop with Lise.

Lise holds a skill set that is uniquely crafted to assist anyone on a healing path. She is capable and expansive, solid and honest, experienced and wise.

Lise knows how to create and extend a container for processing big feelings, experiences and sensations. She facilitates healing with ease while honoring the individual she is working with as their most sovereign and trustworthy self.

Lise is an intelligent guide who utilizes language of consent and gentle suggestion within her practice. She has an intuitive way of extending space to her clients while encouraging them to safely explore the edges of their internal landscapes through movement and body awareness.

I have absolute confidence in Lise as a somatic healing practitioner and believe that anyone who is seeking further healing and resourcing through movement would benefit from working with her.
