The power of dancing in the dark 🕯 There is The power of dancing in the dark 🕯 There is something about being surrounded by darkness that helps me slow down, tune in, and remember the quiet places within me. The grounded places where the noise of the world disappears. Where I can hear the voice of my body’s knowing and feel, what is true for me. When I let my body move slowly and gently through the darkness, only lit up by a few flickering candles, I feel supported, I feel calm, I feel connected, I feel a softening. A softening that allows me to let go and lean into my body’s wisdom and feel what wants to be moved. I give it time. I let my body lead me in gentle movement. I follow with curiousity. I listen deeply. I invite it to come forth. What wants to be heard, seen, acknowledged, planted, tended to, honored, and held. As I move through moments of exploration, gratitude, insights, grief, appreciation, and whatever else comes up from the well of my inner landscape, the darkness helps me hold the space for what needs arise, like a supportive friend that has my back and tells me that there is space for all of it. . For those of us, who are all too familiar with t . For those of us, who are all too familiar with the pain of disconnection in our bodies and in our souls, so much of our journeys is about allowing. Leaning in. Slowly surrendering. To the wisdom underneath. To the call from the soul. Allowing what wants to be seen. Gently holding space, while it emerges and transforms. It is no easy feat to listen deeply to your soul and follow, what you feel called to do. No one promised us that it would be. And in a world full of words, numbers, noise, productivity, and results, the soul’s deep whisper can easily seem to disappear, even if the pull of the call is as strong as gravity. It is your job to listen. Listen deeply. And honor, what comes to you. But we forgot how to listen. Because no one taught us. We forgot the wisdom of the soul. The trust in our intuition. The access to our felt knowing deeply rooted in our bodies. Because no one reminded us along the way. So be the one, who teaches yourself. Be the one, who reminds yourself. To come back home. Rooted. In your wisdom. Your knowing. Your soul’s calling. Allow it to guide you gently through this world and this life. Allow it to support you. Allow it to show you your true path. Your body is communicating with you on a daily bas Your body is communicating with you on a daily basis. It is showing you a wide range of emotions. Telling you, when something is off. Making you feel boundaries clearly. Holding all of your memories. Guiding you towards resources. Supporting you, when you have big or small decisions to make. Showing you your path in life. All of this and so much more. If you are open to its language and ready for a dialogue. Often we ignore the messages from our body because they are inconvenient, feel overwhelming, or are disrupting the (often productive) plan that we have made with our rational mind. We forget that the wisdom of our body is so much more profound than anything our mind can come up with. It is innate. It is powerful. It connects us deeper to ourselves. It belongs. This last week my body has communicated to me through pain. I hurt my lower back and could hardly walk or move for days. It stopped me in my tracks. It invited me to listen deeper. It reminded me of all that I have to be grateful for. But also of how much I still have to learn. It humbled me. It made me revisit themes of supporting myself and honouring the slowness that my body so craves. I am slowly beginning to feel better and starting to move again, as I continue to curiously listen to my body’s wisdom and thank it for all that it is teaching me. Your body is speaking. Musik er den absolut største inspiration for mig Musik er den absolut største inspiration for mig i dansen. Det er det, der rører mig mest. Mine elever spørger ofte til musikken i min undervisning, så i dag vil jeg gerne dele min yndlingsmusik med dig. Det er de sange, jeg lytter mest til lige for tiden, og som jeg ofte danser til, både i dansesalen og hjemme i min stue. Det er musik, der rører mig dybt, og som hjælper mig til at forbinde mig dybt med min krop i bevægelse. Jeg håber, at numrene kan inspirere dig på din danserejse. For nylig underviste jeg en skøn enetime, der min For nylig underviste jeg en skøn enetime, der mindede mig om, hvorfor jeg holder så meget af at undervise 1:1. Fordybelsen, roen, dansenørderiet ... Jeg elsker det ❤️😍 Og med en så dedikeret elev som @skibelund.matilde var der masser af plads til dansenørderiet 💃🏻 Sådan her beskriver Matilde enetimen: “Efter 4 års pause fra dansen grundet en hjerneskade med dertilhørende balanceproblemer skrev jeg til Lise. Jeg bad om en enetime hos hende for at se, hvordan både fysik og psyke havde det. Lise tog imod mig med både nysgerrighed og empati og sammen aftalte vi, hvad jeg kunne tænke mig at arbejde med og hvad Lise tænkte. Jeg var inden timen nervøs for både at skulle bruge min krop i dansen igen, at stå alene i dansesalen, men også om jeg nu kunne følge med. Timen forløb over al forventning og jeg følte mig både mødt, udfordret og set undervejs. Lise var en dygtig og fantastisk underviser og sørgede hele tiden for, at jeg følte mig godt tilpas i min krop og i dansen. Jeg gik derfra med en større tiltro til min krop og hjerne og med en tro på, at jeg kan danse lige så meget jeg vil og kan deltage i almindelige dansetimer igen. Gennem timen mærkede jeg, at jeg kunne slippe kontrollen, som jeg hang så fast i og bare danse og lade kroppen gøre, hvad den havde lyst til. Jeg kan kun anbefale folk at tage en enetime ved Lise, der er plads til at eksperimentere og lege med dansen og kroppen.” 1000 tak for de søde ord, Matilde 🙏 Og ikke mindst for en skøn time. Du er sej 😘💪 . . Jeg har enkelte tider i kalenderen til enetimer i januar og februar, så hvis du føler dig kaldet, så send mig en DM. En enetime varer 75 minutter og koster 950 kr. Undervisningen kan foregå online via Zoom eller i en dansesal i Aarhus C. Du er meget velkommen uanset dit niveau.
