Here is what I believe:
* I believe in the power of deep, embodied healing. In the wisdom of all that lies beyond words; energies, sensations, depths, the abstract, the intuitive, the felt.
* I believe that deepening our relationship with ourselves is the foundation for deepening our relationships with others.
* I want the real and the raw. I am not interested in spiritual bypassing or ”love and light” teachings. Being human is complex and layered. Avoidance gets us nowhere.
* I believe in the power of ancestral healing. Not every wound that we carry is ours. Some are seared into our body’s memory because they have been passed down through generations.
* I believe our individual healing is tied to our collective healing and vice versa. In order to heal our own inner wounds we must relate to the wounds of the collective. And in order to bring healing to the collective we must tend to our own wounds. The two are in relationship.
* I believe in the power of supportive and intentional community.
* I believe in the power of circles; women’s and men’s circles, non-binary and queer circles, healing circles, moon circles, ritual circles. Gatherings rooted in circle wisdom.
* I believe that love is love is love is love.
* I believe in reciprocity with the land.
* We humans can learn a lot from observing the cycles in nature, like the moon and the seasons.
* I believe that the conflict and inequality in the world is rooted in deep individual, ancestral, and collective trauma.
* That we can all co-create a better, more sustainable, supportive, fair world by unraveling and dismantling the oppressive systems of patriarchy, capitalism, colonialism, and white supremacy.
* I believe in the wisdom of the voiceless, the disenfranchised, the oppressed, the overlooked, the forgotten. It is time to listen.
* I believe in:
– collaboration over competition
– vulnerability over emotional armour
– slowing down, not pushing through
– relating, not controlling
– connecting, not othering
– power with, not power over
* I believe in learning from wise elders.
* I believe that hope is precious. Tending to hope is one of the most important things we can practice as humans.
